What is ProShield 5000?

How does ProShield 5000 work?

When added to laundry and applied through the wash, ProShield 5000 creates a durable molecular bond to the fabrics that will not be absorbed by other organisms. Once fabrics are treated, they are covered in a protective matrix of positively charged “spike shaped” molecules.

Single cell microorganisms, like bacteria and fungus, have a negatively charged cell membrane. When these microbes come into contact with a Proshield treated fabric, they are physically drawn into the positively charged antimicrobial “spike” layer. On contact, the microbe is speared and then electrocuted. This treatment method is unique because of its mechanical mode of action that prevents microbials, as well as harmful chemicals, from leaching onto a persons skin.
